Modern Villa in Spain: An Innovative Project with Fiberdeck® WEO® cladding

/3 min read

I'm delighted to share with you the details of an exciting architectural project we recently completed in Spain. Located in Vilablareix, this modern villa is the result of a creative collaboration between architects Juanjo Ojeda and Miguel Gámez ofesbÓs Estudio de Arquitectura. Completed in June 2021, it embodies both the vision of a dynamic family and the benefits of innovative building materials such as Fiberdeck® WEO® cladding.

A Dream Come True

This project came about thanks to the determination of a family of five. Previously living in an old apartment in the heart of Girona, the imminent arrival of their third child motivated them to take the plunge and build their dream home. They chose a plot of land in the peaceful village of Vilablareix, a strategic location offering fast connections to Girona, Barcelona (one hour away), and the sea.

Architect's testimonial

Architects Juanjo Ojeda and Miguel Gámez of esbÓs Estudio de Arquitectura shared their experience of the villa's design and choice of materials:

WEO® cladding enabled the architects to meet the aesthetic requirements of the project, while respecting practical criteria. Juanjo Ojeda also stresses the importance of the material's ease of installation and design:

The choice of Fiberdeck® WEO® cladding One of the most remarkable aspects of this villa is the use of Fiberdeck® WEO® cladding. This material was selected not only for its modern aesthetics, but also for its exceptional technical performance. As Juanjo Ojeda mentioned:

WEO® cladding offers several significant advantages over traditional wood:

Durability: Unlike natural wood, WEO® cladding is extremely resistant to weather, UV, and biological attack such as insects and fungi. Low maintenance: WEO® does not warp, crack or turn gray over time. This is a major advantage for homeowners. Modern aesthetics: With its natural appearance and elegant finish, it blends perfectly with contemporary architecture. Respect for the environment: WEO® is made from recycled composite materials, making it a more sustainable choice.

Conclusion

This villa in Vilablareix is more than just a house; it reflects a bold vision combined with cutting-edge materials. Thanks to collaboration with architects such as Juanjo Ojeda and Miguel Gámez, and the use of innovative materials such as WEO® cladding, this house embodies modernity, sustainability and elegance. As the architect points out:

If you're considering construction or renovation, choosing the right materials, like WEO® siding, could be the key to realizing your own architectural dreams.
