Innovating to last longer
Innovation and environmental responsibility are at the heart of Forestia’s strategy.
Wood-composite expertise serving sustainable growth
Innovation and environmental responsibility are at the heart of Forestia’s strategy.
The group has built recognised expertise in wood-composite — a durable, high-performance material — with Fiberdeck®.
Forestia solutions are designed to offer a reliable and responsible alternative to traditional materials, integrating sustainability, longevity and reduced environmental impact from the design stage.
Building today for tomorrow
Innovation and environmental responsibility are at the heart of Forestia’s strategy.
Forestia exclusively develops wood-composite solutions made from recycled plastics and wood waste from sustainably managed FSC®-certified forests.
This approach makes it possible to recover existing resources, limit the extraction of virgin raw materials and offer high-use products designed to last over time.
The wood-composite products developed by Forestia are designed for a service life of more than 50 years, with a warranty of up to 20 years depending on the range.
The group is also committed to setting up a reuse and end-of-life recovery channel for its products, fully embedding its solutions in a circular-economy approach.
a transparent, measurable and shared CSR approach
Forestia relies on responsible supply chains and committed industrial partners. Key commitments and certifications:
- Wood from sustainably managed FSC®-certified forests
- Environmental approach integrating PEFC™ principles
- Partnership and commitment to biodiversity with the LPO (League for the Protection of Birds)
- Development of durable, resistant and recyclable materials
Reducing the carbon footprint is a major focus of Forestia’s industrial strategy.
Around 30% of the energy used in the group’s partner plants to manufacture wood-composite boards comes from solar energy, contributing to more responsible production.
This approach is complemented by optimised logistics flows, product durability and continuous improvement of industrial processes.
Our climate commitment
Measure today to reduce sustainably tomorrow
Forestia is committed to a comprehensive approach to reducing its carbon footprint by analysing the full life cycle of its products. This enables us to identify our main improvement levers and take concrete action on materials, eco-design, responsible purchasing and logistics to sustainably reduce our emissions by 2030.
Our commitments
Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Among the United Nations’ 17 SDGs, three structure our long-term commitments, in line with our business and responsibilities.
SDG 3 — Good health and well-being
At Forestia, people are at the heart of the company project. The group offers its employees a stable and supportive environment, with strong team seniority (some for more than 40 years) and limited use of temporary contracts — a sign of lasting trust-based relationships with our teams, partners and customers.
SDG 12 — Responsible consumption and production
Faced with the explosion of global plastics production (+450 million tonnes/year), Forestia recycles around 8,000 tonnes of plastic waste each year, incorporated into the manufacture of our composite boards (decking, cladding, fencing). A circular-economy approach that limits virgin plastic and gives a second life to materials otherwise destined for landfill.
SDG 13 — Climate action
Forestia measures and reduces the carbon footprint of all its activities. This approach guides our choices in eco-design, recycled materials and reducing our environmental impact. 2030 targets: −35% CO₂ emissions on scopes 1 and 2 and −15% on scope 3, compared with 2023.
